Chapter: Case of Emergency, Spring 1912
Characters: Bertha Champion, Lilliana Marsh
Location: Upham Hall
Even Winston might find himself objecting to Lilliana’s definition of fascinating.
Even here, it could only be fascinating under VERY specific circumstances.
It’s too bad this new clue is no good to anyone, since allergic reactions were not well understood at the time of this story.
I think having that many students allergic to peanuts is an anachronism anyway. The current problem didn’t start until the Boomers started having kids. Still, check the oil for additives. Because the FDA didn’t cover eye of newt and henbane.
It may not be allergies. It may be that someone sent to fetch an unfamiliar ingredient in poorly marked packaging grabbed the wrong thing by mistake.

Perhaps the peanuts were harvested from an area where a Colour has taken up residence? That could mess you up. Ooh, can peanut plants get ergot? *Start of 4 hour Wikipedia digressions binge*
