I prefer the Little Golden Book version of Unaussprechlichen Kulten myself. Lot’s of pictures.

Too bad this pre-dates the wonder of audiobooks.
As if puny human speakers could accurately reproduce the tones necessary. Hmm, perhaps one could construct an artificial vocoder out of Mi-Go cylinder parts and Ghoul vocal cords (for added durability).
Any voice actor who took on a book in this series would forever after be Tom Waits.

Hmm, Tom Waits has said some pretty Lovecraftian things. You might be onto something there.
