Note To Self

I wanted to avoid having to write out A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, but of course the more obscure reference I found uses even more words. Apparently people didn’t use to believe in snappy titles.
You mean like, “The Life and Strange Surprizing Adventures of Robinson Crusoe, Of York, Mariner: Who lived Eight and Twenty Years, all alone in an un-inhabited Island on the Coast of America, near the Mouth of the Great River of Oroonoque; Having been cast on Shore by Shipwreck, wherein all the Men perished but himself. With An Account how he was at last as strangely deliver’d by Pyrates.”?
That was a title page that needed a whole page!
This obscure reference required some google-fu indeed.
Fortunately, all you searchers pushed the Dublin U. Magazine right top the top of the heap. Thanks.
There is actually a Lovecraftian connection… the story was unearthed by August Derleth for a 1951 anthology! (If Wikipedia is to be believed)
