Winston is just a little slow on the uptake. I don’t think the full impact of events has quite sunk in yet. Then again, except for some weird dreams and some scary but explainable events, Winston hasn’t really gotten a good look at just how weird things are at Misk U.
He may be about to take some advanced classes in eldrich knowledge.
I know his state of ignorance can’t really last forever, but I’m resisting showing Winston the true nature of Miskatonic. There are no watchers or slayers in this world.
One of the funniest elements of weirdness magnets, is that some of them never actually see the weirdness. Everyone around them is battling tentacled horrors but they hit their head on a low door frame and are out cold. Wearing the amulet that will drive the monsters back into the closet. I don’t think that’s Winston’s destiny, but I bet you’re gonna keep his eyes shut just a bit more. The reveal may be why the elder him was bald.
