As soon as someone gets hold of any device that manipulates time, EVERYBODY wants to grab it and say something to their younger selves. It’s a wonder any time traveling ever gets done.
You’ve got to make at least a couple of drafts of what you want to incant before doing it, I think. Who knows how bad meter will affect a summons? That’s probably how Roderick Burgess got Dream instead of Death!
